    My Fitness Pergola

    It seems like I always need a gardening project. This summer I finally had the chance to take care of something that has been annoying me for a long time. I fixed a good and natural place to park my car. At the same time I created some exercise equipment for myself. My car has been parked at a spot where the road widens, but that never satisfied the garden designer in me.     I Made a Gardening Magazine

    As you might have seen in the masthead carousel, I added a link to a gardening magazine that I made for my gardening society Blomsterodlingensvänner i Finland rf. It has been keeping me busy, so the development of this site has been on the down low. But, it has been fun to do some new things and develop other skills. There are a lot of my pictures and text in the magazine and all the layout and technical solutions are by me, but of course a few other talented speakers, writers and photographers contributed.     Trillium Highlights

    Another plant genus that was loving my new border this past year was the Trilliums. I had ordered a few new ones from Kevock in 2013 and they all made it through their first winter! Trillium recurvatum was not that impressive yet and naturally Trillium rivale was quite small, as it should be. Trillium kurabayashii though, was already quite impressive! (Above) Out of my old Trilliums, the T. erectums continue to thrive. They seem to manage fine even in quite dry soil.     Hyacinths for Christmas

    This is the last vlog arrangement for this Christmas. It’s also the easiest and quite trendy. Go ahead and make one and have a wonderful Christmas! In the arrangement: 3 white Hyacinths Caribou moss Moss (green and ordinary, at least in Scandinavia) Decorative stones A silver colored square plate A little soil Merry Christmas!

    A Christmas Arrangement in Red

    I made three Christmas Arrangements this year. Two of them with white flowers, but this one is truly “christmassy-red”! It features: A pointsettia 3 small red Kalanchoe plants 2 Creeping wire vines (Muehlenbeckia) Asparagus sp.
